The SC-224 is a compact lounge armchair with one continuous outline: back and arms are a single upholstered tub with soft, rounded corners, edged with a fine piping that traces the top of the shell. A loose seat cushion sits inside, and the chair stands on four slim, tapered metal legs. The rear view shows the outer back divided by two vertical seams, which keeps the leather taut over the curve and makes COL panels more economical to cut.
Construction. Hardwood and ply shell frame, HR foam with fiber wrap, sprung or webbed seat deck, loose seat cushion with zipped cover; legs threaded into plates in the base so they can be changed for other heights or finishes.
Specifying it. At lounge seat height the chair suits low tables of 15-18 in (38-46 cm), not dining tables. COL is calculated per hide from the panel plan; corrected-grain and aniline leathers behave differently over the curve, so we recommend a sample in the specified hide.
Where it works. Hotel lobbies, lounges, bar soft-seating zones and private-dining anterooms. Foam and leather specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 or BS 5852 on request.
