The SC-226 is a lounge armchair built from two materials and some brass. The inside of the back, the seat and the inner arms are a deep green velvet with a softly channelled back; the outer shell, arm fronts and base are a taupe fabric. A line of nailhead studs follows the arm fronts and the top edge of the back, and the base band below the seat is diamond-quilted. A matching lumbar cushion with a taupe center stripe sits against the back, and the chair rests on black tapered legs.
Construction. Hardwood frame with ply arm and back shaping, sprung or webbed seat, HR foam with fiber wrap; nailheads individually set or applied as strip, to sample; legs bolted to plates.
Specifying it. Two COM lines per chair plus the cushion: inner velvet and outer fabric, each stated separately. Velvet pile direction must run down the back and toward the front of the seat; we note it on the cut plan. Specify the stud finish against other metals in the room.
Where it works. Hotel bars and lounges, members' clubs, whisky and cocktail bars, and private dining rooms.
