The SB-165 is the full-length version of our floating bench. Seat and base are two upholstered layers, each finished with a contrast welt, and the back is a long rounded cushion under a deep brushed-metal cap fixed to the wall. A warm-white LED strip under the base washes the wall and floor below, which is how the bench appears to float in a dim room.
Where it works. Lounges, hotel bars, waiting areas and window walls where an uninterrupted floor finish matters, and in restaurants where floors are wet-cleaned after every service.
Construction. Rigid hardwood and ply carcass with internal steel brackets on a concealed wall rail; HR foam seat; LED in an aluminum channel with diffuser, accessible from below. The driver is located remotely or in a service void per the drawing.
Specifying it. Treat it as a joint item with the electrical and structural trades. We issue rail details, fixing centers and design loads for the engineer or contractor to confirm the wall; LED power, color temperature and driver location are coordinated with your electrical engineer and installed by a licensed electrician on site. Length is to drawing, typically in sections of up to about 8 ft joined at concealed seams. Welt color and cap finish to schedule. Foams to CAL TB 117-2013 or BS 5852 on request.
