A rich, dark red top on a pale base makes the ST-307 easy to place on a plan. The sintered-stone surface is a deep claret with cream and rose veining that runs diagonally; a fine matte bronze band edges it. The base is a faceted hourglass in soft taupe, built from four tapering faces that meet at a narrow waist, and finished with a bronze band at the waist and another at the foot.
Schedule lines. Top: marble-look sintered stone, claret with cream veining. Edge: fine matte antique bronze. Base: faceted hourglass column, taupe wrap or lacquer, bronze waist and foot bands.
Construction. The slab is bonded to a steel sub-frame; the hourglass is two inverted hollow pyramids joined at the waist, with the bronze bands covering the joins; a levelling foot sits inside the lower band. The wide top and foot give stability, and the narrow waist leaves room for knees.
Where it works. Wine bars, Italian and Mediterranean restaurants, hotel dining rooms with a jewel-tone palette.
Pairing. Claret reads well with cream, olive and dark timber; against red upholstery use a taupe base so the table does not disappear.
Pattern note. Strongly veined slabs vary table to table. We recommend approving a slab sample and noting the acceptable variation on the schedule.
